Welcome to a exciting, new school year at the Bath Middle School. We
invite you to join the BMS PTSA and we welcome your involvement.
Everyone— parents, educators, students and other citizens active in the
community—are invited to join our group!
We meet on the 3rd Thursday of every month in the BMS Home Ec room at 6:30 pm. September 18th is the first meeting.
Our membership fee is $5.00 per individual. Membership allows you to
vote at the PTSA meetings. You do not have to be a member to
participate in meetings or volunteer at events.
Being a member of the BMS PTSA does not mean that you have to volunteer
dozens of hours each week. Any amount of time that you are able to help
with any event is appreciated!
Joining the Bath Middle School PTSA is a wonderful way to make a
difference in the education and quality of life for our children.
PTA/PTSA is an organization whose members care about children and
youth. More than 30 years of research has proven that children do
better when their parents are involved both at home and in school.
When you join the Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) you will:
Get Connected. There's no better way to know what's happening in
your school. Receive PTSA information and news via e-mail and monthly
newsletters
Be a Role Model. By becoming a PTSA member, you'll be demonstrating to your child the importance you place on education.
Tap into a Network. PTSA functions are opportunities to meet
other parents and teachers, building rapport and discussing issues that
are on your mind.
Speak up. Because the PTSA is a forum for exchanging ideas, you are encouraged to make suggestions and voice opinions.
Watch Yourself Grow. By volunteering with your PTSA, you
gain valuable experiences. It is an opportunity to put your skills and
hobbies to good use for your child and all children in the community.
