“R.S.U. 1 Reads!” Teen Summer Reading at Patten Free Library

“R.S.U. 1 Reads!”
Teen Summer Reading at Patten Free Library

Once again, Patten Free Library is offering programs to keep your child engaged with books over the summer and maintain reading skills. Programs start June 15, and are offered free of charge to all R.S.U. 1 students. Anyone entering 6th through 12th grades can earn coupons and gift certificates for every book they read! This year, students entering 7th through 9th grades can also participate in a new, “Battle of the Books” style competition, to be held at the Library on August 10. The library also offers a Wednesday night movie series just for teens, which also begins June 15. Free admission, popcorn, and air conditioning!

For reading logs, summer reading assignments, the movie schedule, and information on how to join the Book Olympiad, go to http://www.patten.lib.me.us/teen-summer-reading/ or click on the links below. Or visit one of the young adult librarians at the Information Desk in the Reference Room.
